Why artist/handyman? My education is in fine art, and graphic design. But life throws us many curves and handgrenades, so along the way I have developed a number of other skills from surfboard shaping to welding. I seem to be equally attracted to the intellectual as well as the physical skills necessary for both.
Specialization is not all it's cracked up to be. Look to Benjamin Franklin and Leonardo Da Vinci.
